It’s unbelievable!
My first book “Whole” hit #1 on the Christian book list on Lulu.com (a book website)!
Praise God!
Guys!!! This is incredible!
I even took this screenshot & still couldn’t believe it!
It has been almost 1 month since my 1st book “Whole” came out and I’m floored by how this month has turned out!
Praise God!!!
Just to catch you up on all the excitement, I wanted to launch the book back in April, but we ended up with a release date of July 26th.
That happened to be the day before my husband was scheduled to have brain surgery to remove a tumor.
The week before, the doctor informed us that they had to move the surgery up one day from July 27th to the 26th.
So the day my book came out, I was hanging out in the waiting room at MD Anderson with my father-in-law Willo and some special friends (Jaclyn, Kent, Jorge, Mac, Danny, Mark & Jeremy) who stopped by. (That meant the world to me, you guys!)
Needless to say, my heart and mind were somewhere else entirely.
My book came out (yeah, whatever) … I was just praying for God to do a miracle in my husband.
While I waited, I got a glimpse of the first miracle.
My friend Kent introduced me to his sister Theresa, who runs a bookstore. She let me pitch my book to her and encouraged me to follow up with her to see if she could order the book. WHAT?!
Thank you, Jesus!!!
It was a way of God letting me know He was in control.
A few hours after that, I got another miracle.
The doctor came out and let us know that the surgery had been successful and Adam was in recovery, starting to wake up.
Again, Praise God!
There is a Bible verse that says we should “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33 NLT.
While I was praying and trusting God for my hubby’s life and health, He was at work. He was working on Adam’s health and taking care of everything with the book (and so many other details.)
You know how we can often worry about things, stress and freak ourselves out about whatever is going on in our lives?
No? Maybe that’s just me!
But for those of us that sometimes worry, even if we know God is in control, I hope and pray this email can remind you to trust in the Lord and seek Him first, above all else!
While we are praying, He is working. And He works all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
I never expected my book to be #1 on any list!
What a dream!!! It’s so EXCITING!!!
And it’s such a testimony to me that when God gives you a vision, a dream, a goal … you go for it!
Even against all odds, go for it. Even if the timing seems off (like a surgery and book release coinciding), God’s plan will not fail.
And thank God, my hubby Adam has continued healing miraculously and these weeks after the hospital release. Praise the Lord!
If God is for us, who can be against us?
