Our family loves having Disney movies to kick off the holidays! And just in case you’re wondering about the movie’s “Day of the Dead” theme, this movie review from Common Sense Media may help. As a Christian mom, I like to check movies out before taking the kids to make sure it’s something we are ok with as a family.

On a cultural level, as a puertorrican, I did not grow up celebrating “El Dia de los Muertos”. But I definitely want to teach my kids to learn about other cultures and respect what others believe, even if it’s not exactly what we do. Hopefully, this movie leads to a celebration of culture and family in a beautiful way!

Laughing (and singing) thru life,
